The model
GPT-6 Astra is OpenAI's newest and most capable model, released on 3 September 2026. OpenAI describes it as their most intelligent and aligned model so far. It can hold about a million tokens of context in one conversation, which is roughly eight full-length novels.
One thing worth knowing: Astra cannot tell you much about itself. A model is trained before it is released, so it has no knowledge of its own launch. Ask it about anything else.
If you already have an account and a subscription, use it. It will cost you less than this will.
This is for the other case: you read that a new model came out, you want to see what it can do, and you do not want to make an account, hand over a phone number, start a subscription, or set up an API key to find out. Fifteen good questions is usually enough to form your own opinion about a model. That is what this sells.
Nothing here renews. There is no plan to remember to cancel, because there is no plan.

One question from you and one complete answer from Astra. Follow-up questions are turns too, so a fifteen-turn pass is a fifteen-exchange conversation.
No. There is no clock on the pass. Use them tonight or next spring.
Then the pass ends with the model, and we will have told you well beforehand. OpenAI gives at least six months' notice before withdrawing a model. We email everyone holding unspent turns, and anything still unspent on the shutdown date is refunded automatically. You do not have to ask.
You can buy another pass. There is no discount for buying two, and no subscription.
Your conversation is sent to OpenAI to produce the answers, and OpenAI keeps a copy for a period of their own — that is how a multi-turn conversation works at all. We store it too, so you can come back to it, and delete it within thirty days of your pass being finished. We do not sell it, train on it, or read it for analytics.
No uploads — but you can paste. A question can run to 10,000 characters, about 1,700 words or three or four pages, so if you want Astra to read a chapter, a report or a long email thread, select the text and paste it in along with your question. What you cannot hand over here is the file itself: no PDFs, no spreadsheets, no photographs.
